This design was a blank slate for a local cut flower farm that was about to open shop. The process began with general directives, in that the client wanted a logo that could be stamped, but mostly free reign on initial concepts. Three concepts were created to allow for the client to understand the potential in the brand and which direction they would most like to pursue.
Once a concept was chosen we were off to the races!
The final design captures the brand’s homegrown roots while staying true to the stamp concept. Ultimately, I was able to create both a combination mark as well as a word-mark alternative for the final design. The word-mark is able to be made into a stamp, as requested by the client, while the combination mark is better used for general branding.
The main typeface is a modified version of Wreath from InSign Design. By hand, I added the embellishments around the letters to create the effect of growth and flower buds.
